The job is very straightforward and requires you to simply show up to various addresses across Quebec City and load or unload a clients belongings depending on the job that day. You are not required to drive any moving truck and just need to be able to either drive yourself in your own vehicle or be comfortable taking transit. It can sometimes be physically demanding with the requirement to lift and carry up to 50-80lbs repetitively (ex. sofa, dresser, mattress). Most jobs will require you to be working with a partner which can make things a lot easier. Can apply together with a friend or family member as well. Jobs can vary throughout the month. The beginning and ends of the month can be very busy with time off during the middle of the month. For example in the first and last week of the month there are most likely going to be ranges of 8-12 hour days which can then go down to 3-8 hour days during the middle weeks. On average you can expect 90-120 hour months.
Requirements:
- Preferable if you have vehicle for transportation
- Moving / packing experience preferred – will train the right candidate
- Ability to lift heavy items (50lbs+)
- Always punctual, reliable, hardworking and providing excellent customer service
- Strong English, leadership, problem solving skills and attention to details
- Loading / stacking items and furniture in the truck.
- Unloading of the truck and staging of the customer's home to their preference.
- Understanding our customer's requirements and execution of job duties and responsibilities above and beyond their expectations.
